Description: This presentation will provide a brief refresher of derived relational responding and ACT within a treatment model for clinical populations. Additionally this presentation will provide tips and tools for understanding how to create goals and write them into treatment plans, specifically for insurance.

Objectives:

  1. Learn how to identify the behaviors and skills being taught within complex language programming such as derived relational responding training and ACT
  2. Learn how to identify the objective, purpose, medically necessary domain, and goal criteria for these types of skills


Dr. Becky Barron is a researcher and clinician whose practice is informed by relational frame theory and acceptance and commitment therapy. Dr. Barron works with neurodivergent children and adolescents focusing on skill acquisition for language and social-emotional development.
